I am very proud to contribute to the outstanding work that Shrewsbury Town Foundation does in the community.

I have over 30 years of experience in teaching and school leadership; the skills from this sector directly translate into my current job.

As a team, we seek to engage, inspire and support young people into work – it is an important and hugely rewarding endeavour.

The pride one feels when a young person engages with support and gets their first step on the employability ladder makes the efforts we go to worthwhile.

It is not an exaggeration to say our team really does change lives!

I have a professional background spanning ICT, education, and multimedia.

Throughout my career, I have combined technical expertise with a passion for learning, communication, and innovation to help individuals and organisations achieve their goals.

My work has primarily focused on using technology and digital media to enhance engagement, develop skills, and create meaningful learning experiences.

I am committed to empowering others through practical support, knowledge sharing, and the effective use of technology.

I strongly believe that education and digital literacy can transform lives, unlock potential, and create opportunities for personal and professional growth.

As a youth employment mentor my aim is to guide you into a career you want and help you achieve this.

I bring over 40 years of working experience and also recent experience of being out of work.

I have employed and managed staff throughout the later part of my career, so I am well-versed in interviews and techniques.

My speciality areas are based around H.M. Forces, agronomy, construction and sales.

In my spare time, I have a passion for golf, travelling and socialising with friends. I also like to spend as much time with family as I can.

I might be the youngest member of the team, but what I lack in years, I 100% make up for in enthusiasm (and knowing what TikTok is)!

My background is in working with young people in school settings and supporting those with special educational needs and/or mental health issues, to help them live their best life.

I also have substantial experience working with young people in the care system and a strong understanding of social work and the foster system.

Outside of work, I love anything creative, and any opportunity to learn something new.

I'm a huge Aston Villa supporter (don't tell the boss) and have lots of connections to the working world of football, from academy coaching to FA refereeing.

Truly though, there is no better feeling than watching someone achieve something they never thought they could!

As a Youth Mentor, I draw on over 40 years of experience in the hospitality and food retail sector.

Throughout my career, I have developed valuable skills in communication, social interaction, and practical life skills, which I believe are essential for personal growth and success.

Having worked in urban to rural areas and across many diverse industries, I connect with young people from all backgrounds, helping them build confidence and resilience.

Outside mentoring, I enjoy cooking, exploring different cuisines, listening to cultural music, and relaxing while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
